Privacy policy
Quantum Fund Traders Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of personal information of users of the Company's services (hereinafter referred to as "Users"), builds a personal information protection system, ensures that all employees recognize the importance of personal information protection and thoroughly implement these efforts, thereby promoting the protection of personal information.
Personal Information
"Personal Information" refers to "personal information" as defined in the Act on Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003, hereinafter referred to as "Personal Information Protection Act"), which means information about living individuals that can identify specific individuals through names, dates of birth, or other descriptions contained in such information, or that contains personal identification codes.
Purpose of Use of Personal Information
The Company acquires and uses Users' personal information within the scope necessary for the following purposes. When using personal information beyond the scope of the following purposes, the Company will obtain consent from Users in advance through appropriate methods.
- To provide the Company's services (hereinafter referred to as "the Service")
- To improve and enhance the content of the Service or to develop new services
- To provide information about new features, updates, campaigns, etc. of the Service and other services provided by the Company (including sending emails, flyers, and other direct mail)
- For necessary communications such as maintenance and important notices
- To respond to opinions, inquiries, etc. from Users regarding the Service (including identity verification)
- To report the usage status of the Service to Users
- To request cooperation for surveys, interviews, etc. related to the Service and participation in various events, or to report the results
- To investigate and analyze usage history of the Service and use the results for improvement, development of the Service, and advertisement delivery
- To provide personal information to participating companies in Company-sponsored events based on User consent and applications
- To identify Users who violate the terms of use or attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes and to refuse their use
Management and Protection of Personal Information
Personal information management will be conducted strictly, and data will not be disclosed or provided to third parties without User consent, except in the following cases. Additionally, considering security, we will implement preventive and corrective measures against risks such as unauthorized access to personal information, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage of personal information.
- When necessary to protect human life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain User consent
- When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain User consent
- When cooperation is necessary for national institutions, local public bodies, or their commissioned parties to perform duties stipulated by laws and regulations, and obtaining User consent may hinder the performance of such duties
- Other cases permitted by laws and regulations
Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling
The Company may outsource all or part of personal data handling within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use. In such cases, the Company will thoroughly examine the qualifications of the outsourcing party, establish confidentiality matters in contracts, and provide necessary and appropriate supervision of the outsourcing party.
Disclosure of Personal Information
When the Company receives a request from a User (limited to the person themselves, same applies in this section) for disclosure of personal information held by the Company, the Company will disclose it to the User without delay. However, if disclosure would fall under any of the following cases, all or part of it may not be disclosed, and if a decision is made not to disclose, the User will be notified without delay.
- When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the User or third parties
- When there is a risk of significantly hindering the proper implementation of the Company's business
- When it would violate other laws and regulations
Correction of Retained Personal Data
Users may request the Company to correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc.") personal information held by the Company if it is incorrect information.
When receiving a request under the preceding paragraph, the Company will conduct necessary investigations without delay, and if it determines that there are reasonable grounds for the request in the preceding paragraph, it will correct the personal information without delay.
When the Company makes a decision on whether to implement correction, etc. based on the preceding paragraph, it will contact the User without delay.
Suspension of Use of Personal Information
Users may request the Company to suspend use, delete, or stop third-party provision (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") of personal data held by the Company.
When the Company receives a request under the preceding paragraph, it will conduct necessary investigations without delay, and if it determines that there are reasonable grounds for the request in the preceding paragraph, it will suspend the use of the personal data. However, if suspending the use of personal information requires significant costs or is otherwise difficult to implement, and alternative measures necessary to protect Users' rights and interests can be taken, these alternative measures will be implemented.
When the Company makes a decision on whether to implement suspension of use, etc. based on the preceding paragraph, it will contact the User without delay.
Privacy Policy Amendment Procedures
The Company will appropriately review the content of this Policy and strive for its improvement. The content of this Policy may be changed except for matters stipulated by laws and regulations or otherwise specified in this Policy. The amended Privacy Policy will take effect when Users are notified through methods prescribed by the Company or when posted on the Company's website.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations
The Company will comply with applicable Japanese laws and other regulations regarding personal information it holds.
Response to Complaints and Consultations
The Company will accept complaints and consultations from Users regarding the handling of personal information and respond appropriately and promptly. The Company will also respond promptly and appropriately to Users' requests for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, use, or refusal of provision of personal information.
Security Management Measures
Personal information entrusted to the Company by Users will be protected from unauthorized intrusion, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage through organizational, physical, human, and technical measures such as implementing access restrictions to personal information files, recording access logs, and implementing security measures to prevent unauthorized external access. In the event of an accident such as leakage of User personal information, the Company will promptly report to supervisory authorities in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and related guidelines, and follow the instructions of such supervisory authorities to implement necessary responses such as measures to prevent similar cases and recurrence prevention measures.
